Thank you for purchasing a Gardens of Italy quality product.
We would like to make installation procedures as easy as possible
for you with this installation pamphlet, so that you can enjoy
this magnificent water feature in your own setting.
- Two people will be needed to lift the fountain to the required height, and hold it in position. (This is the recommended height.)
- The fountain is to be held until the ladies head is at eye level of the person installing the fountain.
- The third person will be required to drill a hole in the wall with a masonary drill bit, either hole can be used.
- A single rawlbolt is then to be inserted in the hole of the fountain, which in turn will prevent the fountain from falling if it is let go. (Tighten the rawlbolt slightly, but not too tight to prevent the fountain from cracking due to stress if the wall is not straight and level with the fountain.)
- Take a spirit level and place it on the rim of the bowl, and then proceed to level out the fountain, in order to insert the other rawlbolt.
- Once the fountain is level, drill the remaining hole and insert the rawlbolt, remembering not to tighten too much as above.
- Place the pump of the fountain in the bowl.
- We recommend a 6mm drill bit be used to drill a hole in the bowl of the fountain for the electrical cord to be let out, this exit can then be sealed with silicone to prevent leakage, (the electrical cable can also be let out over the side of the bowl but this is not very attractive to look at!)
- The plug can then be attached to the cable and then inserted into the electrical outlet.
- If the need arises for the cord to be lengthened due to the electrical outlet being a distance from the water feature, we advise that an electrician be consulted to do the job to avoid further complications or accidents.
- The plug point should not be underneath the water feature, to avoid an electrical shock, should the water splash over the bowl and onto the electrical outlet, should the electrical outlet be a waterproofed one this precaution is not necessary.
- After the silicone has dried, a hose or a bucket can be used to fill the bowl of the fountain with water, the pump can then be switched on.
- The spout of the fountain should then be observed and can be bent and fine tuned so that the water flows to owner's desire.
