Thank-you for purchasing a Gardens of Italy quality product. We would like to make installation procedures as easy as possible for you with this installation pamphlet, so that you can enjoy this magnificent water feature in your own setting.

        Installation

      1. Place the Cauria Base (with cheescake) (290), in the middle of Damring Sicilia. Make sure that the cheesecake segment faces away from the main approach of the fountain.
      2. Install the pump inside the Base, leaving +/- 500mm slack on electric cable to facilitate servicing of pump. Thereafter seal both sides of conduit pipe with Silicone sealant.
      3. Cement the Tre Cadute Large Layer (8) to Cauria Base (290), and push through hose to extend 100mm above the top.
      4. Cement the Tre Cadute Mid Layer (7) on top of the Tre Cadute Large Layer (8) making sure to level it with wooden wedges, and push through hose to extend 100mm above the top.
      5. Cement the Puttini for Portaombrello (43) onto the Tre Cadute Mid Layer (7), making sure it is level and pushing hose through to the top.
      6. When placing the Umbrella for Portaombrello (44) the hose should only extend up to a third into the height of the umbrella. The hose should also be Silicone sealed on the inside to prevent backflow of water down inside of the fountain. The umbrella can then be cemented in place.
      7. After the cement has set, the wedges can be removed and the holes can then be plastered over. The cement joints can now be smoothed down and wrapped with wet sponge or felt and plastic to aid curing. Wrapping should be left on for 24 hours after which the joints can be painted over.

        Foundation using Damring without floor

      8. Choose a level area or level out area where foundation must be laid. Mark out foundation with 4mm wire pegs and fishing line. Dig out foundation 100mm deep and prepare cement mix.
      9. Lay foundation 100mm thick, making sure to include the PVC conduit pipe. While cement is still wet smooth down foundation to ensure a level area to work on.
      10. After initial period of six hours, hose down the foundation periodically to facilitate even setting of cement without cracking - every hour during daytime, -twice during nighttime period. This should be done for the next 18 hours, and a plastic sheet may also be used to cover foundation during this period.
      11. After 24 hour setting and hardening period the Damring(120) may be installed.
      12. Wet the bottom of the Damring to ensure even bonding with the foundation. Apply mix to bottom of Damring and set down in place. Make sure Damring is level with spirit Level and by inserting wooden wedges.
      13. After mix has dried the wedges can be removed and holes filled up. The inside of the dam can now be waterproofed using Pro-Long, or any other waterproofing paint.
