        Foundation using Damring

      1. Choose a level area and mark out a diameter of 3.4m with Fishing line and wire pegs.
      2. Dig a foundation of 100mm deep along perimeter marked out. Then compact ground. Prepare cement mix for foundation, using 2 parts river sand, 1 part 10mm stone and 1 part cement. Lay conduit from center to rim of Dam closest to your electrical box.
      3. Lay foundation 100mm thick. While cement is still wet smooth down foundation to ensure a level area to work on.
      4. After initial period of 6 hours, hose down the foundation periodically to facilitate even setting of cement without cracking. - Every hour during daytime period. - Twice during nighttime period. This should be done for the next 18 hours.
      5. After the 24 hour setting and hardening period the dam segments can be installed.

        Installation of Dam Segments

      2. Pre drill holes in Dam segments (797) using masonary drill bit. Place Dam Segments (797) together, putting cement at bottom and sides of segments. Brace each with the other using the flat bar and fisher plugs.
      3. Fill gaps between Dam Segments with cement. Keep cement joints wet to prevent cracking by placing a wet cloth over each joint. Keep wet for two-three days.
      4. Cement Groove Coping (798) pieces onto Dam Segments (797). Remember to keep cement joints wet.
      5. Once the segments are braced together the Dam can be waterproofed with the Pro-Long (or similar) waterproofing paint (3 coats). Read instructions on waterproofing.
      6. Insert cable of pump into conduit and waterproof with silicone sealant on both sides of conduit. Ensure electrical connections are correctly waterproofed - consult an electrician for advice.
