        Foundation using Damring

      1. Choose a level area where foundation must be laid. Mark out foundation with 4mm wire pegs and fishing line. Dig out foundation of 100mm deep and prepare cement mix using 2 parts river sand, 1 part 10mm stone and 1 part cement.
      2. Lay Conduit from perimeter of dam to centre (for electrical wire of pump).
      3. Lay foundation 100mm thick, making sure to include the PVC conduit pipe for electrical connection. While cement is still wet smooth down foundation to ensure a level area to work on.
      4. After initial period of 6 hours, hose down the foundation periodically to facilitate even setting of cement without cracking. -Every hour during daytime period. - Twice duing the nighttime period. This should be done for the next 18 hours.
      5. After the 24 hour setting and hardening period the curbing can be installed.
