      Thank-you for purchasing a Gardens of Italy quality product. We would like to make installation as easy as possible for you with this installation pamphlet, so that you can enjoy this magnificent water feature in your setting.

        Installation

        Foundation using Damring

      1. Choose a level area where foundation must be laid. Mark out foundation with 4mm wire pegs and fishing line. Dig out foundation 100mm deep and prepare cement mix, using 2 parts river sand, 1 part 10mm stone and 1 part cement.
      2. Lay foundation 100mm thick, making sure to include the PVC conduit pipe for electrical connection. While cement is still wet smooth down foundation to ensure a level area to work on.
      3. After initial period of 6 hours, hose down the foundation periodically to facilitate even setting of cement without cracking. - Every hour during daytime period. - Twice during nighttime period. This should be done for the next 18 hours.
      4. After the 24 hour setting and hardening period the damring can be installed.

        Installation of Dam

      1. Ontop of your foundation that has been layed, fit your Curbing Dam Gerona (794) pieces together with Corner Curbing Dam Gerona (795) pieces. Once alligned properly, cement together. Keep joints wet to prevent cracking.
      2. Then fit together Dam Segment Gerona (792) pieces and Fountain Corner Gerona(793) pieces ontop of items discussed in point 1. Once again cement together and keep joints wet.
      3. Pre drill holes in 8 Metal Braces. Where each segment joins, attach a metal brace to the segments (bend metal brace where necessary), drilling holes with a Masonary Drill bit and fastening with fisher plugs and a hammer.
      4. Once the braces have been attached the inside of the Dam can be waterproofed with the Pro-Long waterproofing paint (3 coats). Read instructions on waterproofing.
      5. Ensure electrical connections are correctly waterproofed - consult an electrician for advice.
      6. Leave for 48hours to dry. Now ready to fill with water.
